Based on 33 acres in Schomberg, Ontario, 20 minutes north of Hwy 7 along the 400 corridor, they serve many branches of the widespread “green” movement. Hermanns Contracting Ltd. is seeking an experienced and organized individual to research for and to bid all applicable tenders, and to coordinate the procurement of all materials and subcontractors for projects.

Reporting to the President, you will:

• Contact Municipalities, Landscape Architectural firms, General Contractors, etc., to ensure inclusion on bidder lists;
• Monitor various publications for potential tender opportunities;
• Review and prepare all aspects of tender submissions;
• Obtain pricing from suppliers/subcontractors to ensure quality and competitive pricing;
• Perform site visits required for the tendering process;
• Frequently source and prequalify new suppliers and subcontractors;
• Set up standard pricing with current suppliers;
• Organize the acquisition of construction drawings, trade certificates and shop drawing requirements for all awarded contracts;
• Work closely with project managers to order materials and organize qualified subcontractors necessary for each project and requisition relevant, timely and accurate purchase orders.

This is an excellent opportunity for an organized, well-presented professional who has several years of relevant field experience along with working knowledge of AutoCad, proficiency with Microsoft Windows applications and the ability to interpret various architectural and engineering drawings. A thorough understanding of the tendering process is essential. Importantly, you are an excellent communicator who is comfortable liaising at all levels and prioritizing your workload.
